TORONTO WHITE PAPER SUMMARY

The Canadian Advanced Air Mobility Consortium (CAAM) is working to facilitate a new form of transportation that will radically transform the movement of people and cargo starting within the next few years. Called Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), this trillion-dollar industry is developing revolutionary aircraft—lightweight, quiet, and zeroemission—to expand mobility by using underutilized airspace in dramatically new ways.

As part of its efforts, CAAM has released a white paper, written by NEXA Advisors, to gauge the missions, obstacles, concerns, and overall potential of Advanced Air Mobility in the Greater Toronto Region (GTA). The paper’s authors interviewed some 60 stakeholders in aerospace, business, government, transportation, economic development, real estate, cargo, academia, and healthcare, individually and in focus groups to understand the industry's potential and the actions steps needed by key groups to have it succeed.
